A Cross.A Conversation.A Purpose.
Sharing Faith, One Cross at a Time
The Carpenter’s Cross began with a simple desire: to share my faith and find a way to start conversations about Jesus.
I knew what it felt like to want to talk about my faith but struggled to find the words at times. A cross hanging in my truck became an opportunity to start a conversation and find out how the person sitting next to me was really doing. Whether that person was a friend, a family member, or a stranger I was giving a helping hand to, the cross offered a visible reminder of Jesus and an opportunity to share what He has done in my life.
Over the past 25 years, more than 25,000 Carpenter’s Crosses have been made—each one by hand. Through churches, Christian bookstores, events, and individual customers, those crosses have reached people all across the United States.
That purpose continues to guide the crosses I make today. Whether someone purchases a cross for themselves or as a gift, my hope is that it becomes a reminder of Christ’s love and an invitation to share that love with others.
In my own life, there have been moments when giving someone a cross after helping or praying with them felt especially meaningful. I wanted them to understand what inspired that kindness. I wanted them to see Jesus.
Over the years, I’ve kept cards and letters from people who shared what receiving a cross has meant to them. Those words continue to encourage me and remind me why I started.
Through life’s changes, God’s love, grace, strength, and faithfulness have remained my foundation. My hope for The Carpenter’s Cross remains the same: to make crosses that help people express their faith, encourage someone they care about, and start a conversation about Jesus.
